Calculator inputs and saved scenarios
Values entered into a calculator are processed on your device. They are not sent to Calculum to produce a result. If you save a scenario, its name, inputs, and calculated result are stored in your browser's local storage on that device. Calculum does not receive or cloud-sync those saved scenarios.
You can remove saved scenarios with the controls on the relevant calculator page. You can also remove all locally stored Calculum data through your browser's site-data or storage settings.
Country preference
Your selected country is stored in your browser's local storage so Calculum can keep currency, date, and measurement formatting consistent between pages. This preference remains on your device until you change it or clear the site's stored data.
Privacy-friendly analytics
Calculum uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. Plausible measures information such as the page visited, referral source, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from the request's IP address. Raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored. Plausible does not use cookies, browser storage, cross-site tracking, or persistent identifiers for this measurement.
Analytics are used only to understand overall usage, not to create advertising profiles or identify individual visitors. Read thePlausible data policy for technical details.
Technical request data
Like other websites, Calculum's hosting and delivery infrastructure receives technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, and security or error information. Providers may retain limited logs for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting in accordance with their own retention practices.
Cookies and similar technologies
Calculum does not currently set cookies. The browser storage described above is used for calculator features and preferences, not advertising or cross-site tracking.
Sharing and third parties
Calculum does not sell personal information. Technical data is handled only by service providers where needed to operate, secure, and measure the site, or where disclosure is required by law. Links to external websites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices.
Do not share screenshots, exported files, or other material containing information you consider sensitive. Calculum currently does not provide accounts, cloud sync, or server-side saved calculations.
Legal basis and retention
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, limited technical processing is based on the legitimate interests of operating, securing, understanding, and improving the site. Browser-stored calculator data remains under your control on your device. Any operational logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose or as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal data, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, use the email address above. Because Calculum has no user accounts and analytics are aggregate, it may not be possible to connect an individual visitor with particular analytics data.
Children
Calculum is a general-audience information service and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Calculum's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
